Mondays
I have probably the same amount of good Mondays as bad Mondays. Today is definitely a bad Monday. I wake up around 6:30 and try to be on my way to the airport by 7:10. If I leave any later the traffic on the bridge is crazy. Luckily, I’ve never missed my plane. Flying is always pleasant… Air Tran usually has me upgraded to first class. Today I fell fast asleep the minute I sat in my seat. I work up 10 minutes later to some ladies large buttocks slamming me in the face. At least she was nice and apologized.
My Monday doesn’t really start until 11AM when I get in my rental car. I go into work for a few minutes to get set up and then I go to lunch with my team. We always joke around with each other but today they were too harsh. I made some mistakes last week and they couldn’t help but bring them up. Sometimes the joking just gets old. By the end of lunch today I already didn’t want to be here… and that’s never a good thing. I haven’t even done any work and I feel like shit.
Surprisingly, now that I’ve gotten everything done I planned for, I feel much better. I still can’t help but think about what I am going to do when I get out of work. I try to focus on ONLY work when at work… but my mind wanders. My body is ready to move… sitting in a chair all day sucks. Tonight I’m going to try to do a strength work out AND run. This is contingent on me leaving work at a decent time… which probably won’t happen. I also want to search for a cool 10K race to attend in the next month or two. I need something to train for.
Know of any good 10Ks coming up?
Where is my December Runner’s World? It’s taking forever.
